Candy Color Sunset Watercolor underpainting worked over with pastel on paper. The work is double matted in off white and framed in a black frame, which has gold trim. The work with frame is 13 inches x 16 inches x 1/2 inch. FAR Tag  #: 2669 Candy Color Sunset, by Jake Beckman, reveals a sunset over the sea. The sun has melted below the ocean's horizon painting a water and clouded sky in deep blue, purple, warm pink and yellow.

A friend of mine lived in Southern California for quite some time. Each time I would go to see her we would take in a sunset at Crystal Cove near Newport Beach. The sunsets were always spectacular there. This pastel is an impression of one of those glorious sunsets I experienced there.-Jake
