Transformation Maquette No. 4 acrylic painting on loose canvas matted and framed to 27.5 inches x 21.5 inches with a 2-inch wide white mat and a 2-inch wide cherry-colored frame. FAR Tag  # : 1880. Transforming the horror into palliative, Transformation Maquette No 4, a study of Transformation, consists of rolling seas of brown with pale tan foam; white seagulls fly between the cresting waves.

The Maquettes for Transformation actually came after the original painting. I wanted to capture part of the flavor of the work in a smaller size while also breaking away from the intense emotion of Transformation, hopefully conveying a more playful emotion.-Jake
