Transforming the horror into palliative, Transformation Maquette No 3, a study of Transformation, consists of a rearing tidal wave in cream and brown with white seagulls emerging and weaving their flight amid the froth, the sky consists of building clouds of yellow, orange and brown.
The Maquettes for Transformation actually came after the original painting I wanted to capture part of the flavor of the work in a smaller size while also breaking away from the intense emotion of Transformation, hopefully conveying a more playful emotion.-Jake
