RJ & Woo Too is an original acrylic 18 inch x 23.5 inch painting on cold press 140 lb watercolor paper. The paper has been treated with gesso on both sides to enhance its durability. In "RJ & Woo Too", by Jake Beckman, two puppies, RJ, a cinnamon colored hound dog, and Woo Too a party-color red-brown and white cocker spaniel sit upon a white plastic love seat. The background is the brilliant blue of the sky reflected as reflected in a pool. The predominant colors are shades of cinnamon, sky blue and white. The Work is signed by the Artist "Jake" in the lower right hand corner. On the back of the work the title and date of creation are noted in paint; the FAR Tag No. 17470 is placed in the region behind the signature on the back of the canvas. The work is federally copyrighted. All reproduction and publishing copyrights are retained by the artist. Images are not to be copied, re-distributed, imitated, derived OR otherwise used in any form without the explicit written permission of the artist.
I painted RJ and Woo Too at the request of their owner. Since she was a Phoenix, AZ Resident who lived close to me I went to her house to make several digital reference photographs of the dogs and the love seat she wanted in the picture. I used PhotoShop to arrange a pleasing composition from these photos, which the owner then approved. I will not make any prints of this picture unless the owner one day asks for it. I am supplying it here so you, my patrons, can get an idea of what I can do with a few photo graphs, just in case you ever decide you want an 18x24 inch portrait of a person or pet. -Jake
