West Bar is acrylic on 40" x 30" stretched canvas. FAR Tag  #: 601 West Bar, by Jake Beckman, is a detailed fanciful rendering of a bar in green, blue and brown of a bar in Talkeetna Alaska, gateway to Mt McKinley; the sea otter bartender flirts with the Dall's Ram customer, your glass is on the counter.

I traveled to Alaska and to this bar, West Bar, in Talkeetna, AK. The bar does not really have green walls nor does it have an Alaskan Sea Otter tending bar serving Dall's Rams either. But the edge of the bar is chewed up by crampons and the walls are signed by climbers aspiring to summit Denali-"we came we saw the mountain, we cried like babies"-is one such signature. They offer an astounding array of beers, mostly local to Alaska. Who would not be inspired by such a place.-Jake
