Phoenix is an original acrylic painting on loose canvas. The work is 18" x 24". It is shown mounted in a 22" x 28" inch poster frame on a black mat. In Phoenix, by Jake Beckman, the energy of the city swirls upward into the sky, a phoenix arising from its ashes. The predominant colors are shades of vivid yellow, bright orange, blood red and greenish black. The Work is signed by the Artist “Jake” in the lower right hand corner. On the back of the work the title and date of creation are noted in paint; the Far Tag No. 2712 is placed in the region behind the signature on the back of the canvas. The work is federally copyrighted. All reproduction and publishing copyrights are retained by the artist. Images are not to be copied, re-distributed, imitated, derived OR otherwise used in any form without the explicit written permission of the artist.
I did this as a live painting exhibition during Art Detour 20, which happens to be in downtown Phoenix. The city of Phoenix, AZ is the inspiration behind this painting. - Jake
